Construction of New Training Centre at Lavarack Barracks

August 2022 – March 2023 

For this project, SHP Construction & Civil carried out construction of a new building to function as an undercover group training shelter suitable for night-time training, adjacent to existing, similar structures located within Lavarack Barracks.  

SHP supplied and installed reinforcement, footings and concrete slab along with all structural materials required to construct the shelter. This project also included the extension of the existing awning on the adjacent structure. SHP supplied and installed all the water, drainage, stormwater, electricity, power points and lighting necessary for the shelter to function as desired.  

SHP also provided a design for, and supply and installation of, Z Purlin Screens to three sides of the high section of the newly constructed shelter in order to stop rain form entering in the sides.
