Townsville Schools Painting & Maintenance

July 2022 – January 2023 

SHP Construction & Civil carried out the painting as per QBuild’s Painting Specification, including cleaning and preparation, and including but not limited to pre-paint repairs such as replacement of rotten / damaged timbers, removal of obsolete services, and replacement of damaged step treads and handrails.  

This project also involved the removal and disposal of some broken ACM sheets, for which SHP was able to carry out due to our Class B Asbestos Removal licence, along with our experience and familiarity with DET specifications regarding ACM. SHP supplied and installed new FC sheets to replace the broken ones, including painting of the area to match existing. 

As this project was spread over various locations throughout Townsville, SHP coordinated its team and subcontractors to accomplish the painting and general maintenance works involved in the most efficient way as to minimise disruption to the students and staff of these highly operational facilities.
